Hot Dog Love

Hot Dog Love returns August 26–September 4!

For 10 delicious days, local restaurants will serve their own unique hot dog creations. Try the entries, support local and vote for your favourite. A panel of local judges will also taste and score each creation before we crown our Judges’ Choice and People’s Choice winners.

RAMEN CORN DOG – Billy K’s – The Ramen Corn Dog takes crunch to the next level: a hot dog coated in crispy ramen and panko, then topped with spicy sriracha mayo and fresh green onions. Served with fries and a beverage.

SEGUIN POUTINE DOG – Seguin Patate – Combining two local favourites in one delicious creation. This 7-inch hot dog is piled high with Seguin Patate’s famous fries, St-Albert cheese curds and savoury gravy.

JET SET WHISTLE DOG – Jet Set Pub – Go big with the Jet Set Whistle Dog, a footlong all-beef wiener loaded with corn and tomatillo chow chow, rich aged cheddar sauce and crispy beef bacon.

BANG BANG BACON DOG – Jack’s Pub – The Bang Bang Bacon Dog features a deep-fried Lester’s jumbo hot dog wrapped in bacon and topped with sweet-and-sour pineapple coleslaw, creamy bang bang sauce, crispy wonton chips, green onions and toasted sesame seeds, all served on a toasted sesame seed roll. Comes with a half-order of onion rings and extra bang bang sauce for dipping.

TABAR-PUFF – Mr. Puffs – The Tabar-Puff puts a sweet-and-savoury spin on a Québec classic with new bite-sized Puffies, the little brother to Mr. Puffs’ original puffs, loaded with cheese curds and hot dog pieces, then topped with rich gravy and a drizzle of maple syrup.
