Pumpkinferno Upper Canada Village Runs Nightly from
September 24 – October 31, 2021
St. Lawrence Parks Commission (SLPC) is excited to announce the return of the award winning Pumpkinferno event to Upper Canada Village for its 10th season. This festive fall event will feature multiple brand-new exhibits of hand-carved artificial pumpkins as well as many incredible fan favourites from years past!
Pumpkinferno is a luminary experience for all ages, allowing guests to wander through a mesmerizing installation of artist-inspired, glowing pumpkins set up along a curated self tour path with a 19th century backdrop.
Pumpkinferno Upper Canada Village will feature exciting new displays such as The Roaring 20s and Area 51, as well as some of the most popular exhibits from past events, including Day of the Dead, Enchanted Forest, Mesozoic Monsters and Clown Town.
About Pumpkinferno
• Pumpkinferno was first introduced as a St. Lawrence Parks Commission (SLPC) event at Upper Canada Village in Morrisburg, Ontario. It now offers a fall evening walking tour through artistically designed exhibits of over 7,000 hand carved, artificial pumpkins set against the night-time backdrop of this historic site.
• In 2012, Pumpkinferno at Upper Canada Village was awarded “Tourism Event of the Year” by the Tourism Industry Association of Ontario and “Best New Event Ontario” by Festivals and Events Ontario (FEO). In 2013, Pumpkinferno was named “Best New Company of the Year” by Ottawa Tourism and was included in FEO Top 100 Events.
• The development of Pumpkinferno has played a key role in providing a unique fall outdoor experience at Upper Canada Village, generating significant local economic impact for SLPC and businesses in South Eastern Ontario.
• Pumpkinferno at Upper Canada Village has welcomed over 400,000 visitors since its inception in 2012. The economic impact for the region is estimated to be $7 – $10 million each year, according to the Tourism Regional Economic Impact Model.
Upper Canada Village Event Details
• Pumpkinferno at Upper Canada Village will operate nightly, September 24 to October 31, inclusive.
• Hours of Operation:
• September 24 to October 17 from 7 pm to 10 pm
• October 18 to October 31 from 6:30 pm to 10 pm
• Arrival timeslots scheduled every half hour
• Accessibility Nights:
• Three Accessibility Nights listed below will be available for bookings by phone only through Guest Relations at 1-800-437-2233.

• Ticketing:
• General Admission (5+): $20 (plus HST)
• Children (0-4): Free
• Tickets will go on sale on September 7, 2021 and will be available to purchase online only at pumpkinferno.com. Tickets will not be available for purchase at the gate for capacity purposes.
• Timed ticketing is implemented to ensure groups are spaced out and to maintain a safe maximum capacity.
• Guest Arrival & Safety:
• Guests should arrive no earlier than 15 minutes prior to earliest check-in time indicated on ticket.
• Guests will be required to self-assess their health and will be encouraged not to visit our attraction if there is any possibility that they may have contracted or have come into contact with COVID-19.
• Ticket holders can enjoy Pumpkinferno at their own leisure and must follow physical distancing rules as mandated by the Ontario Government. You must stay 2 metres or 6 feet away from others. Staff will monitor and educate guests on physical distancing rules.
The Pumpkinferno tour takes place outdoors and is designed along an open route that will ensure visitors can maintain appropriate physical distance. All paths of the tour are navigable by wheelchair (though can be affected by weather conditions).
