Traditional and contemporary Indigenous artwork comes together at the Akwesasne Art Market & Juried Show! On July 17th &18th, take part in this wonderful artistic experience, set across the backdrop of the island.
Akwesasne Mohawk Casino hosts the Juried Art show from 6:00-8:00pm, allowing artisans to compete in a wide variety of categories and display their stunning creations. Categories include beadwork, basketmaking, fine art, traditional attire, and textiles. Over twelve thousand dollars will be given away in prizes, including the winners of Best in Show and the People’s Choice Award. A Youth Art Show will also take place, allowing younger artists to show off their talents! Winning art pieces will be on display at the Art Market.
On Saturday, the long-awaited Art Market will take place in Generations Park! Bring the family for a day in the sun filled with beautiful art, local food vendors, and live demonstrations! From 10:00am-4:00pm, peruse the Art Market, and meet with the many talented artisans on site.
