On the evening of Thursday, August 5 th , the Glengarry Pioneer Museum will
host its first live music event in two years. The museum’s popular “Classical
Music Under the Stars” event is returning with a special program that pays
homage to Glengarry’s rural roots.
The evening’s soloist performer will be concert pianist
Nicholas Deek from Ottawa. Mr. Deek holds a Master’s degree in music
performance. On top of teaching classical piano technique, he also has a
very active performance schedule.
The concert will be held — rain or shine. In the case of poor weather, it will
be held under the Williams Pavilion. Socially-distanced seating will be
provided. However, organizers are hoping it will take place outdoors, under
the evening stars.
The cost is $20 per person, or $15 for museum members.
Proceeds from the fundraising concert will go towards supporting the
museum’s operations and maintenance, as well as community outreach
programs.
