RTO9 Partnership Funding: Empowering Tourism in South Eastern Ontario

Each year, RTO 9 partners with tourism businesses to enhance and diversify the tourism experiences across South Eastern Ontario. The Partnership Fund is designed to either build on existing tourism products or introduce new ones, giving our region a competitive edge in the tourism market. This 50/50 partnership program requires applicants to cover 50% of project costs, with RTO 9 providing the remaining funding.

Who Can Apply?

This opportunity is open to for-profit tourism businesses in South Eastern Ontario that aim to increase visitation. We’re looking for businesses that are committed to growing the region’s tourism economy and are ready to engage in the broader tourism landscape.

Categories to Apply Under

There are four categories available for applicants to choose from:

  1. New Indigenous Tourism Experiences
  2. Photography/Videography
  3. Marquee & Wayfinding Signage
  4. Translation

Important Dates & Information Sessions

Applications for the 2025-2026 Partnership Fund will open on March 3, 2025, and the deadline to apply is March 31, 2025, at 11:59 PM. To help you prepare, RTO 9 is hosting four online information sessions where you can ask questions and get guidance on the application process:

  • February 25, 2025 at 10 AM
  • March 5, 2025 at 10 AM
  • March 13, 2025 at 10 AM
  • March 18, 2025 at 10 AM

These sessions are a great opportunity to get help with your application and ensure your project aligns with the program.
